Experience
I am currently residing in my hometown, Altoona Pa, and working as a remote faculty member for Western Governors University, a pioneer in online education. I serve in the Health Professions Department, and evaluate work submitted by nursing and science education students for the biochemistry course. I previously taught general chemistry and biochemistry at Messiah College, including both lecture and laboratory. My students ranged from non-science majors, to freshmen chemistry and biology majors, to senior biochemistry and pre-health majors. As a graduate student at Cornell, I worked as a teaching assistant for introductory biochemistry, introductory genetics, and a graduate level advanced genetics course. As an undergraduate at Juniata, I tutored my peers in general biology and organic chemistry, and I served as a secondary and pre-secondary teaching assistant for the Science In Motion outreach program.

I've been doing some painting recently. I love animals, especially dogs. When I am not hanging out with my own Jack Russell Terrier, I volunteer at the humane society. I also enjoy reading books and watching movies. My favorites are fantasty and sci-fi: Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc.
